GEOLOGY DEPARTMENT NEWS
FOR MAJORS
Volume 21, Number 1
Dear Geocolleagues:
Welcome back! For those of you who are new on this mailing list, this is the Newsletter of the Department of Geology. Its objective is to provide news and information that will be useful to students. Watch for events like field trips and speakers as well as opportunities like grad schools and jobs. Teresa Brown, our Academic Dept. Associate (secretary), is the editor. She will include news of Geoclub (see the Geoclub Web page for the schedule for Spring Semester Speaker Series: http://www.uwosh.edu/geology/Students/geoclub.html and other student-related organizations if someone provides her with it.
I hope everyone has a great year.

The next O.E.S. C. Club meeting and program is tonight, Feb. 2 and will feature Joanne Klussendorf of the Weis Earth Science Museum speaking on geology in Wisconsin. It's a winner...very dynamic. I think any geology student would benefit by attending. Attached is our listing of programs handout for 2009.
The programs are held at 7:00 p.m. the first Monday of the month following the 6:30 p.m. Club meetings, in the Rowland Room (basement) located at Evergreen Retirement Community, 1130 N. Westfield, Oshkosh.
Thank you.
