Oshkosh Earth Science Club Annual Scholarship
 
One of the objectives of the Oshkosh Earth Science Club is to promote earth science education. It is our desire to participate in the advancement of that endeavor by awarding one or two U.W.O. students in the earth sciences with a financial gift to be used to assist the individual(s) in some element of their education.

Award amount: $450*
 
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in the earth sciences
  • Preferably be enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year
  • Provide letters of recommendation from two earth science faculty members
  • Provide a short statement indicating why he or she is pursuing an earth science degree and what they envision doing after graduation.
Send completed forms with recommendations to an O.E.S.C. Scholarship Committee member.

The American Geological Institute announces that applications are now being accepted for the 2008-2009 AGI Minority Geoscience Scholarships. This opportunity is open to any African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American students who are declared majors in geology/earth science.

Application materials are available online for the 2008-2009 AGI Minority Geoscience Scholarships. Recipients of AGI Geoscience Student.

Scholarships are provided with mentors, scholarship support and an award for professional development expenses, such as field camp tuition, professional society memberships, and/or travel and registration to a professional meeting of one of AGI's member societies.

If you are enrolled in an earth science education or geoscience degree program and would like to apply for a scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year, please review the qualifications and procedures outlined at http://www.agiweb.org/mpp. All application materials must be received by *March 14, 2008*.
