Here are some comments Geography Alumni made about the department here at UWO.

 

*UW-O Geography allowed me to obtain research experience and a well rounded geography degree.  I was easily able to enter graduate school with no deficiencies.  I was able to start my graduate research with no extra training after UW-Osh.  I was very well prepared for a GIS internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  I am very happy with the education that I received at UW-O!  

 

 

*I loved my experience at UWO, I stared college not knowing what I want to major in ended up taking World Geography with Dr. Paul Johnson and fell in love with geography, which had been my worst subject in high school.  Two and one half years later I graduated with honors!  I got so much support and encouragement from the entire geography department.  I also worked in the geography dept. and enjoyed learning from the professors.  My only regret is not taking more GIS courses.  Eventually I will go back to work and will need to take some additional courses to help me obtain a decent job.  Thanks for the great experience!

 

 

 

*I was very happy with the education that I received at UW Oshkosh.  I still have that passion for geography that I had when I started college.  I would like to pursue my master’s in geography or a related field.  I am interested in knowing if UW Oshkosh has any special events related to geography.
