Typical Course Sequences for Professional Chemistry Majors

Since not every course is taught every year, there will be several different routes
through the requirements for the chemistry major.  go to course frequency table

The courses build on each other:
Chemistry 106 is a prerequisite for all higher numbered chemistry courses.
Calculus I is a corequisite for Physics I.
Physics II is a prerequisite for Physical Chemistry I; Modern Analytical Chem and Calculus III are co-requisites for it.

The Chemistry Electives rotate through
Chem 323: Analytical Separations; Chem 360: Special Topics; and Chem 435: Interpretive Spectroscopy.
Usually one is offered each academic year, but the pattern is irregular.
