The Art Day
High School Art Day 2008 - Thursday, April 3
Overview of activities for High School Art Day:
- 8:30 - 9:15
- Registration – Arts and Communication Center Lobby
- Refreshments will be available for students and their teachers.
- 8:30 – 10:30
- Self-guided Tour of the Art Department
- Activities in Arts/Communication Building – Basement, 1st and 2nd floors – and Ceramics Lab (no student activities on 3rd, 4th, or 5th floors of A/C)
- 11:00 - 11:30
- Awards Presentation – Fredric March Theatre (No food or beverage allowed in theatre.)
- 11:30 - 12:30
- LUNCH:
- Students may eat at Reeve Union in one of the fast-food service areas.
- Art teachers who have registered for the luncheon are invited to join the UW Oshkosh Faculty in Room 201 in Reeve Union.
- LUNCH:
- 12:30
- Pick-up of student artwork by teachers, Priebe Gallery. (There will be no early pick-up.)
- 3:00
- End of art pick-up

- Ceramic Tiles – Professor Michelle Tobia & Art Education students Students create individual ceramic tiles that will be displayed in a group mural in the future. (Ceramics Lab located on Rockwell Avenue near the river – see campus map.)
- Second Floor:
- S212 Life Drawing (open drawing session with clothed model) – Professor Barb Rosenthal
- S213 Workshop in wire figure sculpture – Art Education students
- S217 Workshop in making art trading cards – Art Education students
- S218 Watercolor workshop and student work displayed – Professor Li Hu
- S220 Graphic Design (No class in session. Graphics projects displayed) – Professor Rick Masters

- S10 Photography: Student work on display Dark room demonstration in small groups – Art Education students

Activities end at 10:30 am – Awards Ceremony begins at 11:00 am in Fredric March Theatre
