Can I avoid the 2.5% convenience fee?
The 2.5% convenience fee will be charged on all Credit card transactions. If
payment is made via e-check there is a 50¢ processing fee. No
additional processing fees will be added if paying by cash or by check in person
at the cashiers window. If you need to mail your payment, only
checks will be accepted, do not send cash through
the mail.
Why is there a fee for Tuition but not at the
Bookstore, Reeve Union etc.
The credit card costs they absorb are built into their retail
prices. We cannot add this cost to the
tuition set by the Board of Regents.
Are other universities charging a convenience fee?
Most of the other University of Wisconsin system schools are
either charging a fee or have
stopped accepting credit cards.
Will the convenience fee show on my statement of
account?
Yes, it will be listed as a separate charge.
