In order to receive a Short Term Loan (STL) you will need to go to the Financial Aid Office that is located in Dempsey Hall - Rm 104. You will receive a promissory note for the loan. You will then turn the promissory note into the Cashiers Office and sign the form in the presence of a teller. We will then disburse the amount listed on the note to you. Loans are granted up to $50.00 and must be paid back within a one month period. The amount of the loan will be added directly to your student account. If payment is not received within that time a 1% interest charge per month will be incurred on the outstanding balance.
King Garvey Loan ProcessTo take out a King Garvey Loan a student must be in a program served within the Division of Academic Support. In order to receive a King Garvey Loan (KGL) you will need to go to the Academic Support Office that is located in Dempsey Hall - Rm 131. You will receive a promissory note for the loan. You will then turn the promissory note into the Cashiers Office and sign the form in the presence of a teller. We will then disburse the amount listed on the note to you. You are asked to return the pink copy of the loan paper back to the Academic Support Office. Loans are granted up to $100.00 and must be paid back within a one month period. The amount of the loan will be added directly to your student account. If payment is not received within that time a 1% interest charge per month will be incurred on the outstanding balance.
