The debate program at the University of Wisconsin
Oshkosh is a co-curricular program designed to complement students'
educational experience by providing the opportunity to compete in
debate at the intercollegiate level. Students participating in debate
travel to other campuses to compete against colleges and universities
from across the nation. Participation in debate teaches students many
skills including proficiency in speaking, library research, critical
thinking, new information technologies and performance. Our program
provides students with the unique opportunity to combine education and
tournament competition, testing their communication and analytic skills
against the best and brightest students from the nation's colleges and
universities. The debate program at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
has a prestigious history and tradition of success dating back to 1937.
Currently, we are upholding that tradition with both competitive and
educational achievement.
