Joe
Baggot, M.A. Joe is responsible for reviewing the accommodation requests of students and then implementing reasonable accommodations. He also serves as the advisor to the UWO fraternities and allocations committee. Although he is new to the Dean of Students office, he is not new to campus. Joe spent five years as the Assistant Director of Project Success. Mary Cook Mary is responsible for insuring correct and timely implimentation of approved accommodations for students with disabilities. She works closely with the Testing Center, proctors, and faculty/staff to impliment proctoring services as well as with the Bookstore and numerous publishers in obtaining electronic textbooks. She also serves as recording secretary for the ADA Advisory Committee. Ric Fink Ric assists the Disability Services Office to identify, purchase, and install adaptive equipment. Ric worked with Joe Baggot to write a grant request to purchase computers, software, etc. The request was approved, and the DSO received a grant in excess of $15,000. Items to be purchased include: • Software
(Kurzweil 8 and Dragon Naturally Speaking) for all computer labs Placing Kurzweil
and Dragon Naturally Speaking in all computer labs will allow students
unlimited access to this software (in labs which are open 24 hours per
day). The laptops and docking stations will be available for students
to check-out when they need access to the software while off campus.
