How do I access User Progress?

The User Progress tool is a way to monitor student participation and engagement in an at-a-glance manner or to review a specific student's activity in a course.

Overview

The User Progress tool is a self-directed tool, meaning there are not specific instructions for accomplishing a task.  Instructions will include a general guide to access, how the tool is used is dependent on the user.
  1. Click Edit Course
  2. Click View User Progress (located under Learner Management) from the list of available tools.
  3. A classlist will be displayed with details of overall activity in four areas of the course.
    • Mouse over certain aspects of the tools to view details.  (Example: Run mouse pointer over a colored bar in the Grades area, details concerning that particular grade item will be displayed)
  4. Click the name of a student to see an in depth view of that student's activity in the course.
    • Get additional information on activity within specific tools by clicking the tool from the panel on the left


Customize User Progress View

By default User Progress includes details on Content, Objectives, Logins, and Grades.  You can 
  1. Click Settings in the upper right corner
  2. Click the dropdown next to undesired tool and select Replace.
  3. Click on the tool to be included in the new customized view of User Progress
  4. Click Save and Close

Additional Information

  • The Login history is for the entire D2L System, not for a specific course.  Drill down into a specific students login history to see the date the course was last accessed.
