How do I disable Pop-up Blockers?

When navigating D2L and Collaborate, pop-up blockers should be disabled. Any pop-ups on D2L or Collaborate are not harmful.

When navigating D2L and Collaborate, pop-ups may be blocked on your internet browser.  These pop-ups windows are not harmful; they are necessary.

 

Safari Browser

  1. Select Safari from the browser menu.
  2. Select Block Pop-up Windows.

Internet Explorer Browser

  1. Select Tools from the internet browser menu.
  2. Select Pop-up Blocker, then Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.

  3. A new window will appear. Add the following address if it is not already present in the "Address of website to allow" box : "https://uwosh.courses.wisconsin.edu"

  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Close.

Mozilla Firefox Browser

  1. Select Firefox from the internet browser menu.
  2. Select Preferences.

  3. A new window will appear. Select Content at the top of the window.
  4. Un-check "Block pop-up windows". (Click Exceptions for additional options.)

  5. Click Close.

Google Chrome Browser

  1. At the top right of the page, click on the yellow "Pop-up blocked" notification.

  2. Select the Always allow pop-ups from uwosh.courses.wisconsin.edu circle.
