Phishing Scam Alert: OneClass Chrome Extension Inbox
A malicious "OneClass" Chrome Extension is part of a current phishing scam which, if installed, may send email on students' behalf and also attempt to collect user credentials. This malicious extension is known to affect any LMS, regardless of brand, and takes advantage of unsuspecting users.

The extension is not available in the Chrome Extensions Store. Students are being phished via an email that encourages the installation by offering a link. The message content contains:
"Hey guys, I just found some really helpful notes for the upcoming exams for <University Name> courses at  I highly recommend signing up fro an account now that way your first download is free!"
If you receive this email, please delete the message and review our OneClass Phishing Scam page.

How Do I Share an Item in D2L ePortfolio?

D2L ePortfolio gives users the ability to share Artifacts, Presentations, Collections, and Reflections with users in the same courses as you. At this time, students do not have the ability to share items with users outside of their courses.

Written Instructions

  1. Locate the Item (Artifact, Presentation, Collection, or Reflection) you would like to share in your D2L ePortfolio.
  2. Click the drop down arrow and select the key icon called Share.
    Note: If the item is opened you can also click the drop down arrow and Share button within the item.

  3. If desired you can set a time that the person with which you will be sharing will be able to access the item. Click the Show Display Options. Set visibility options such as a start date and time or end date and time, click the Save button.
  4. Click the Add Users and Groups button.
  5. Click the Users tab.
  6. Enter the first name of the individual with which you will be sharing into the space provided.
  7. A list of individuals who you can share with that fit the search criteria will appear. Choose the desired user from the list and make sure their name is added to the selected users section.
    Note: If you would like to continue adding additional individuals, enter new search terms in the provided field.
    Note: students do not have the ability to share items with specific  users outside of their course.

  8. Assign the permission you would like the selected users to have to yourD2L ePortfolio item, and click the Add button.
  9. Click the Done and Send Invite button.
  10. If desired enter text in the Message box, this customized message will be included in an email sent to the user(s).
  11. The individual(s) will now receive an email message notifying of their ability to access your item and an invitation will appear in their invitations area of D2L ePortfolio.
