How do I add a photo to a presentation.

Written Instructions

Step 1: Upload Photo to ePortfolio

  1. Click the Add Files Button located near the top of the the ePortfolio page.
  2. Drop the file into the space provided or click the upload button and browse for the file.
  3. Add any necessary tags.  (Optional)
  4. Click the Add to ePortfolio button.

Step 2: Insert Photo into Presentation

There are two methods for adding photos to a presentation.  The following method will insert the photo as an extra component.  It will be a stand-alone item in the presentation.
  1. Open or create a new presentation.  For instructions for completing this step please see How do I make a presentation in ePortfolio?
  2. Click the Content/Layer tab
  3. Click Add Component
  4. Click the Artifact link.
  5. Click the checkbox next to the appropriate image.
  6. Click the add button.
  7. View the presentation to ensure the photo displays as you intend.

Step 2: Insert Photo into Presentation (Alternate Method)

The following method will insert the photo as a part of a text item.  It is meant to be used in conjunction with written text.
  1. Open or create a new presentation.  For instructions for completing this step please see How do I make a presentation in ePortfolio?
  2. Click the Content/Layer tab
  3. Click Add Component > Text Area or edit an existing Text Area component.
  4. Click the Insert Stuff button from the toolbar.
  5. Click ePortfolio from the panel on the left.
  6. Click the radio button next to your photo.
  7. Click Next
  8. A pop-up window will appear, complete fields as necessary
    • Link Text: Enter text that will describe the photo
    • Alternate Text: Enter text that will describe the photo
    • A photo will display in its original dimensions, if you would like to display in a different size, enter pixels in Width and Height.  
  9. Click Insert
  10. The image will be entered into the content Editor, add any desired text to accompany the image.
  11. Click Save and Close
