Phishing Scam Alert: OneClass Chrome Extension Inbox
A malicious "OneClass" Chrome Extension is part of a current phishing scam which, if installed, may send email on students' behalf and also attempt to collect user credentials. This malicious extension is known to affect any LMS, regardless of brand, and takes advantage of unsuspecting users.

The extension is not available in the Chrome Extensions Store. Students are being phished via an email that encourages the installation by offering a link. The message content contains:
"Hey guys, I just found some really helpful notes for the upcoming exams for <University Name> courses at https://oneclass.com/s/signup.  I highly recommend signing up fro an account now that way your first download is free!"

How Do I Access a Shared item in D2L ePortfolio?

If someone has shared a D2L ePortfolio item with you, you can view and, in some cases, offer feedback on that item.

Written Instructions

 

  1. Enter your D2L ePortfolio from My Home on the navigation bar.
  2. On the right side of the screen is an Invites heading.  The shared item (Artifact, Collection, Presentation, or Reflection) should appear here. In this example an Artifact has been shared with us.

  3. Alternatively  you can also click the Explore tab at the top of the screen and click the individual's name that shared the item.

  4. To view the shared item:
    • On the D2L ePortfolio homepage, click the title of the Artifact, then click Open File in the new screen under the Artifact title. The file will open in a new window for viewing.
    • From the Explore tab, click Open File in the new screen under the title name. The file will open in a new window for viewing.
  5. If the author granted permission for you to provide comments, you will be able to click the View button.

  6. Enter your feedback in the space provided and click Save.
  7. If the author granted permission for you to complete an assessment (rubric), you will be able to click the Add Assessment button.
    • Choose the appropriate rubric from the dropdown menu and click OK.
    • You can then add feedback by clicking the appropriate area on the rubric.
    • If desired offer written feedback for individual criteria by clicking the pencil icon in the feedback box.
    • When you have completed the rubric, click Save.
  8. If the author granted permission for you to add comments, you will be able to click the Add Comment button.  A new window will appear with a text editor.  Add the desired comments and click Add when finished.  The comment will appear in the comments section.

  9. Click Close.
  10. The author will now be able to view any feedback and/or comments you have given.
