How do students get technical help?

Students who have specific questions regarding D2L can receive assistance in a variety of ways.
  • A help desk is available for problems such as javascript, error messages, cookies, etc. This help desk is staffed via UW Madison; it is NOT the UW Oshkosh Help Desk. It should be used only for D2L-related questions. It is available 6am -1am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (after hours voice mail will be returned after 6am). 1-888-435-7589 (toll-free) and choose option 3.
  • If you have problems with your username and/or password, please contact the UW Oshkosh Help Desk at 424-3020. Before calling, please make sure you are doing the following:
    NOTE: The help desk personnel will NOT have access to your course, so they will not be able to help with a particular course item. Contact your instructor for content-related questions.
  • If you have having technical difficulty with your computer or with connecting to the internet, you should contact your computer manufacturer or your Internet Service Provider. Some minor technical support can be found through the UW Oshkosh Computer Help Desk at 424-3020, 8:00-4:30 weekdays.
