Creating an Organized File Structure in D2L Content

When adding Content to a D2L course page, you can add content easily from the "Content" page. However, this puts all of your course materials in one large, unorganized folder. This can make it extremely difficult to make edits at a later time. This tutorial will explain a method that makes it easy to keep your course materials organized and easy to find.

Adding materials to D2L

  1. Click Content from the Navigation
  2. Click Table of Contents from the panel on the left.
  3. Click the Related Tools button from the top of the page and select Manage Files
  4. Click the New Folder button located at the top of the page and enter a name for the folder.
  5. Click the name of the folder to get into the folder
  6. Use the Upload and New File buttons to add content just as you would from the content page.

 

Adding links to the Content Page

  1. Click the checkbox(es) next to the item(s) and click the Add Content Topics button.

  2. Choose the module where the materials should be placed.
  3. If necessary, modify the Topic Title
  4. Click the Add button.
