Dropbox Possibilities, Options, and Settings

Instructors can use the Dropbox section to collect assignments from students. Click this link to find out options and possibilities within Dropbox, as well as noteworthy setting options.

Working with Dropbox

Instructors can do the following within D2L's Dropbox: 
 

Available Settings

  • Attach "Release Conditions" (i.e. students must respond to a discussion before being able to view new content)
  • Attach a grade item or rubric to a Dropbox folder: How do I add a grade item to the Dropbox?
  • Have a Dropbox folder available within a certain time frame
  • Allow individual or group submissions
  • Attach a grade item to a Dropbox folder
  • Attach a rubric to a Dropbox folder
  • Allow one submission or unlimited submissions
 

Additional Options

  • View statistics on students' participation that can be exported to an Excel file
  • Reorder Dropbox folders
  • Preview Dropbox list
  • Edit multiple Dropbox folders' availability
  • E-mail students that have not made a submission
  • Create feedback drafts without automatically sending to students
  • Categorize folders
