Can I tell who might be a rapist?
No. Rapists do not wear signs identifying them as rapists. Rapists look like anyone else. They could be anyone, a friend, a co-worker, a family member or significant other. Some warning signs to watch for include:
- Someone who tries to make you feel guilty or accuses you of being uptight if you resist their sexual overtures.
- Someone who ignores your personal space boundaries.
- Someone who does not listen to you, ignores what you say, talks over you or pretends not to hear you.
- Someone who does what he/she wants regardless of what you want.
