April Dutscheck
April was raised in the small town of Grantsburg, WI, about two hours north of Eau Claire. After earning her Associates Degree from UW-Richland, she moved to the southern end of the state, to Platteville, where she lived and worked for almost eight years at UW Platteville. In 2008, April moved to Oshkosh and married her soul mate, Joe. They have since had three wonderful children, Abigail, Conor, and Samuel, April’s husband is a fire fighter/Paramedic/EMT for the city of Oshkosh. Both April and her husband are outdoors people and enjoy hunting, fishing and 4-wheelers.
April enjoys her job very much and credits Lynda Olsen, who retired from her position, for being a wonderful help in the transition when she was hired in 2008. Lynda and April have kept in contact over the years and have a great friendship. April likes the interaction with various committees (Faculty Sentae, Senate for Academic Staff, APC, and others) and staff while working in the Senate office. She has served as Vice-Chair and Chair to CSAC (Classified Staff Advisory Council) and is just starting her second term on the council.
