To participate, you must be currently employed at UW Oshkosh as a permanent classified staff member, and have completed at least one, continuous year of employment at UW Oshkosh.  Grants are intended solely for non credit conferences, seminars and workshops (hereinafter referred to as an event). THIS SEMESTER ONLY: due to tightening budgets, Chancellor Wells has been gracious in agreeing to fund up to 10 grants for the Spring 2013 semester up to $200 per request. In these instances, there does NOT need to be a departmental match. This is a one time funding opportunity for Spring 2013. The budget submitted must include the grant amount requested, the event fee and all estimated travel expenses for the event (e.g. mileage, other transportation costs, meals, lodging, etc.).

Grants are available during the Fall and Spring semesters. The application deadline for the spring semester is 4:30 pm, Friday, March 29, 2013 for events scheduled anytime after January 1, 2013.  Grant recipients will be notified by April 19, 2013 and provided with information about their grant disbursements.  Within one month of the scheduled event date, the classified staff member who received a grant must submit a written report about the event’s content and how it met the employee’s and supervisor’s expectations.  Classified staff members failing to submit a timely report will be ineligible to apply for another grant.

2. Send a copy of the event brochure, or email the event web address  to Cindy Schultz, Journalism, schultzc@uwosh.edu by the deadline date. (see above)  You may attach additional pages if necessary.
