APPROVAL OF MINUTES
·       January 11, 2006 minutes approved as written.

TREASURER’S REPORT
·       No Karen, nothing new to report

CHAIR’S REPORT
·       Newsletter is done and at the printers now.  Everyone should receive it in the next day or two.  What do we want to do for the next newsletter?  Discussion ensued in regard to CPR training/Defibrillator training (volunteer effort).  The Marketing Committee is already working on different stories for the newsletter. 
·       No U-Plan meeting was held last month.
·       The CSAC Holiday party was a SUCCESS!  Thanks to all who attended.
·       Web site will be taken over by Jill Reichenberger’s student Amanda.  Cindy was asked if she would be willing to help as needed.  She stated she would.
·       Elections/Nomination forms get them in.  An e-mail will be sent out to all Classified Staff members to remind them to get them in.
·       Strategic Planning Beth Heuer met with the CSAC and explained the 9 points and answered questions.

Brenda Garza was the February STAR award winner. Several Star award nominations were received as a result of the recent campus email. University Police are investigating the vandalism that has occurred to the framed OPA Awards.

·       Classified Staff Grant Committee  Sabrina Johnson
Paulette stated that people will be encouraged to submit paperwork for Spring workshops/conferences, etc.

·       CSDAD Planning  Jean Bord
Jean reported that last week there had been 20 workshops this week 45.  It’s possible that the Chancellor may do a workshop; sponsorshipall of last year’s donors have recommitted with the exception of “Copy This”; Muriel Hawkins area is a new donor; Various outside donors have been contacted and we have had good success in obtaining additional funds (US Bank would discuss at March 7th meeting; NHP - $5000; Dental Associates - $300; Navitus  No response as of yet; Tom Keller, Lincoln Financial  not in their budget. Tom’s office was willing to put up $500 and possibly have Tom conduct a workshop; United Health will get back to us; Dental Blue, still trying to contact)  Last year the budget for CSDAD was $14,721  this year just over $17,000 has been raised.  Malissa Bonlender will take over the databaseshe met with Bobbi Reepsdorf.  Marlene Z. needs to talk with Jill regarding raffle tickets. 

·       Grant Fund Raising Committee  Marlene Zdanovec
Marlene said that the Committee is still working to change the Spring Fling Raffle.  Becky Payne from the Foundation told the Fund Raising Committee that the tickets would be printed in March.

·       Marketing  Cindy Schultz
Newsletter is forthcoming; we’re working on t-shirt colors and logo for the day; talked about CSDAD sponsorship and highlighting their generous support throughout the day; CSDAD poster is in the works; Flier we’re waiting for the web site to be current before sending out material.

OLD CSAC BUSINESS
·       Volunteer Update  Red was not available to report.

NEW CSAC BUSINESS
·       Elections  Waiting for more nominations to come inurged everyone to think of someone who might be willing to serve in one of the openings.

 Next CSAC Meeting:  Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Dempsey 212.
