Marlene Zdanovec

Marlene has been with University Books & More since 1980, serving as Office Manager for the past thirteen years. Customer Service is her motto!

Marlene is Chair of the Quality Circle for the Division of Student Affairs.

She was one of 28 inaugural participants in the Classified Staff Team-building & Personal Development Program and became a mentor to the following group of participants.

Away from the office, Marlene and her husband, Jim, especially enjoy their grown children and two grandchildren.

Marlene and Jim were selected 2004 National Outstanding Tree Farmers. In recognition of that premiere award for tree farmers they are featured in the the magazine publication of tree farmer (Jan-Feb '05 issue), and are also on the cover! Prior to this award, the Zdanovec's were selected as Wisconsin's Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year 2002 and as state ambassadors. Along with committees, field days, speaker commitments, and volunteer activities to promote sustainable forestry, they have been awarded scholarships to participate in a year-long state Leadership Institute.

"One of these days", quips Marlene, "I am going to read the daily newspaper on the day it arrives!"
