Evelyn Meuret

Evelyn Meuret
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Evelyn Meuret came to UW Oshkosh in January, 1985 as a Library Services Assistant managing the Polk Library circulation desk during the evening.  In 1989, she transferred to, what is now, Clow Instructional Technology Services.  Seventeen years later, she transferred across campus to coordinate the Halsey Instructional Technology Services Center.  She is considered the classroom technology goddess.

During her tenure, she has served on many committees, including EAP Advisory Board, Parking Appeals Committee, CSDAD Social Committee and CSAC.  She has been the Chief Steward for WSEU Local 579 for over 16 years.  Evelyn received the Star Award in May, 2004 and was one of the 2004 recipients of the Outstanding Performance Award.

One of the reasons Evelyn ran for CSAC was to ensure that the Union leadership continue to have active participation within CSAC.  CSAC is a great avenue to ensure the represented classified staff have a voice on campus and are able to participate in activities the master agreement does not specifically grant them the ability to do.
