Jane Roloff stepped in when she was needed, and
interim Nursing Dean Rosemary Smith is extremely thankful. When
the former dean of nursing and his program assistant announced
their retirements in November, Smith knew it would take weeks
to find a replacement. In the meantime, several staff members
would have to take on additional duties.
“Jane Roloff was the first person to volunteer and was willing to do whatever was needed during the transition time,” Smith said. At the time, Roloff was the program assistant for the nursing graduate program. Now, she’s doing that along with a variety of new duties for the dean. “We are privileged to have her in the College of Nursing,” Smith said. “Her ‘can do’ positive attitude and ‘working smart’ is keeping our organization moving.” Roloff has consistently exceeded expectations in every aspect
of her job, Smith said. “Her customer relations skills
are exemplary,” she said. “She is attentive to details
and conscientious with every aspect of her responsibilities.
She has outstanding communication skills and work ethic. Her
assertiveness and willingness to do ‘whatever it takes’
to get the job done has helped to avoid a crisis in the College
of Nursing.” |
