Patti Pucker, Star Award winner for the month of July, and the rest of the Career Services team recently celebrated 10 years of collaborative career fairs.

Pucker began working at UW Oshkosh in 1977 and joined the Career Services team in 1992. Immediately, she took responsibility for facilitating the career fairs.

“The success of the Career Fair is a huge tribute to Patti’s hard work and dandification to the students and the Fox Valley Community,” wrote College of Letters & Science internship coordinator and career advisor Chrissy Lambie in Pucker’s nomination letter. “Our job fairs consistently get high remarks and praise for the hard work Patti puts into them.”

Even though past job fairs have been well received, Pucker and the Career Services staff are driven to further enhance the service.

“We’re just trying to improve every time we do it,” Pucker said. “Our last job fair had 169 employers. Our goal this year is 200. Over the years, we’ve just been getting bigger and bigger.”
