Mandi Isaacson, academic department associate for the Biology and Microbiology Department and June Star Award recipient, also undertook additional responsibilities with students in mind.

“We’ve always had wait lists, but we have had more wait lists for upper level classes than in the past,” Isaacson said. “It’s busy because we’re trying to get students into classes that are already full.”

Isaacson accommodates the additional work by arriving to work more than an hour early to do paperwork, which frees time during the day to aid students and faculty.

“There are just so many things to do,” Isaacson said. “They are mostly the little things, but the little things seem to be what people appreciate most.”
