Peggy Karls, information resource support technician for the College of Business received the Star Award for the month of May.

After eight years with the department, Karls’s focal responsibility evolved from aiding students individually to assisting students using online methods, a responsibility that required the addition of another day to her work week.

“I enjoy working with the students,” Karls said. “I still will have some student contact, but technology is what I truly love to be doing.”

Currently, Karls’s maintains the program’s Web site, which, she said, is an effective informational tool for the college’s busy graduate students.

She said she hopes online access to the information will prevent students from falling behind in their course work.
