Rife shines in many ways. Employees can
be outstanding for a lot of reasons. When Reeve Memorial
Union Assistant Director for Operations Dee Kehrberg nominated JoAnn
Rife for the Star Award,
it was because of her pleasant attitude and diligence. When
College of Business Director of Operations Jan Brantingham nominated
her, it was for attentiveness and creativity.
Rife, planning and construction's computer aided design/drafting
(CADD) specialist, has been awarded the January Star
Award.
As a CADD specialist, Rife listens to project requests, provides
solutions and develops creative alternatives for building planning
and construction. “She stays current in her profession
and her knowledge of products on the market,” Brantingham
said. “Her projects are always completed on time and
within budget. Many times, under budget.” Rife
talks through the details of projects with her university clients.
She prepares detailed budgets and must follow up with those
who request the work and the workers implementing the project.
“It is a pleasure to work with JoAnn,” Kehrberg
said. “She makes remodeling and construction projects,
which are almost always full of frustration, reasonable and
pleasant.”
