OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD
Fall, 2007

The Outstanding Performance Award offers recognition to members of the classified staff whose activities, accomplishments, and service are most deserving of acknowledgment by the University. This fall the Chancellor awarded four Classified Staff employees the Outstanding Performance Award.

Recipients of the awards included Paulette Feld, technical services, Polk Library; Brenda Garza, dean’s assistant, College of Nursing; Peggy Karls, senior information systems resource support technician, College of Business; and Shawn Kelly, assistant controller/internal auditor, administrative services.

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s awarded four classified staff members with Outstanding Performance Awards this month. The awards recognize classified staff members whose activities, accomplishments and service are most deserving of acknowledgement.

Paulette Feld, technical services, Polk Library

Throughout her 27 years at the University, Feld has kept up with the ever-changing technology needs of the Forrest R. Polk Library. Currently she is responsible for monitoring more than 75 computers as well as operating the library’s online system.

Brenda Garza, dean’s assistant, College of Nursing

Garza has been an employee of the University for 11 years. She has coordinated several programs and has served on several committees. In addition, she produced a newsletter for the local nursing district.

Peggy Karls, senior information systems resource support technician, College of Business

Karls has seen her responsibilities increase dramatically throughout her 18 years as a University employee. Most recently, she assumed responsibility for the College of Business Web site and manages the Earth Charter Web site.

Shawn Kelly, assistant controller/internal auditor, administrative services

Kelly began his career at the University as an internal auditor. Eight years later, he now maintains the security of the University’s financial resources and administers the campus financial software. He is a member of a number of committees and boards and is on the Board of Directors for the UW Oshkosh Credit Union.
