Since coming to campus nine years ago, Jean Bord has been credited as a thorough, fast-paced and diligent custodian, but he's also made his mark as a person who works behind the scenes to better the university community. Bord's commitment to the university is demonstrated in his tireless efforts and healthy attitude when trying to hammer out agreements as an active union representative. His diplomative voice and measured approach help resolve potentially difficult issues. He also is known for his work on behalf of the Classified Staff Advisory Committee.
A UW Oshkosh Employee for 22 years, Susie Gustke has a work ethic that sets her apart. As a mentor for students, Gustke gives her all to support and improve her department and its programs. She manages ticket sales for more than 80 events, is present at a majority of the events and coordinates the sports camps that attract more than 2,000 students each year. Her work as a part of the Quality Circle has helped Student Affairs function more knowledgeably. As the heart and soul of her department, she is known for her professionalism, cheerful disposition, and dedication.
Working in library acquisitions, Karen Reiter has been an active and dynamic member of the Polk Library community for more than 29 years. She works diligently to ensure that the library's materials support the university community and focuses her efforts on serving university patrons. Reiter's service extends to numerous organizations that include serving as an officer for the Wisconsin State Employees Union, work with the American Association of University Women and helping to found the Classified Staff Advisory Council. Reiter earned her bachelor's degree in education from UW-Whitewater.
