OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD
Fall, 2004

The Outstanding Performance Award offers recognition to members of the classified staff whose activities, accomplishments, and service are most deserving of acknowledgment by the University. This Fall the Chancellor awarded three Classified Staff employees the Outstanding Performance Award. They are Mary Bleser, Evelyn Meuret, and Cindy Schultz.

Mary Bleser
Program Assistant
Public Affairs Department

For 30 years, the past 25 in the public affairs department, Bleser has worked hard to be a positive influence on UW-Oshkosh.

She provides administrative support to the department, including the criminal justice program and the master’s of public administration program. She is the glue that holds the department together as she handles the needs of students and faculty alike. She also has been involved in several university committees and professional development activities.


Evelyn Meuret
Audiovisual Services Assistant
Clow Instructional Technology Services, Media Services

Meuret is a master troubleshooter, when it comes to solving the daily problems that arise with classroom equipment.

She stays calm and patient no matter the technological trauma. She trains faculty members on how to use the technology, enhancing the quality of instruction. During her 19 years at UW-Oshkosh, she also has participated on a variety of campuswide committees and has been active in the Wisconsin State Employees Union Local 579.

Meuret holds a bachelors degree from UW-Eau Claire.


 

Cindy Schultz
Program Assistant
Religious Studies and Anthropology Department

Schultz is the first person to welcome students and visitors to her department. She juggles the daily pressures of two academic programs and is known for her ability to select and supervise work-study students.

In more than 20 years on campus, she has enjoyed the challenge of learning new technology. In recent years, Schultz has been a leader in supporting professional development for classified staff.
