By-Laws
Article I- Identification
The name of this organization shall be the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) Criminal Justice Association (CJA)
Article II- Goals
The purpose of this student chapter shall be:
- To familiarize students with the opportunities involved with a career in the criminal justice field.
- To create a network between students and professionals in the related field.
- To promote membership and participation with students, faculty and the community.
Article III- Meetings
Section 1: Membership Meetings
Membership meetings hall be held every Wednesday of each month at 5:00 in Reeve Union. These meetings will be held to conduct business and hear guest speakers.
Section 2: Tours
Tours shall be announced at least two weeks in advance through meetings and email.
Tour dates will accommodate CJA as well as the organizations.
Article IV- Membership
Section 1: Membership Application
All students who are either a criminal justice major or minor in good standings with the university may be able for membership. Applications will be made in writing on a form provided by CJA.
Section 2: Membership Dues
Membership dues are $5 per semester and are to be made payable to the treasurer at a specified time.
