Wellness Workshops

 

What is wellness?

The UWO Counseling Center has creatively added Wellness Workshops as an additional treatment option. Wellness is a conscious choice of living a blend of Mind, Body, and Spirit quality life. The wellness workshops provide small group interactive experiences that provide support of a holistic well-being with the focus of optimal well-being and life balance.

  • Optimal Well-being: Being the absolute best person you can be by increasing one's own potential through increasing knowledge and skills
  • Balance: Bringing stability to the different areas of your life including mind, body, and spirit

We believe in each student’s wellness at the Counseling Center. Being well is largely about being kind to yourself physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. We are here to help you along the way in your journey!

Counselors recommend specific workshops as a part of an individual’s treatment plan set to attain your goals. Our Wellness Workshops are designed to provide students the necessary skills they need to live a healthier and more balanced life.

Drop In & Breathe groups: Come into the Center to participate in a 30 minute mindfulness or relaxation activity! Drop in and give yourself some time and space for calmness.

Offered Mondays & Thursdays at 4:00 pm and Fridays at 11:30 am.

 

**REMINDER: Wellness Workshop sessions are for Counseling Center clients only. Workshops are adjunctive treatment that will be discussed between the client and their individual counselor.
