Struggles with Academic Skills

College Life is a huge adjustment. As a college student, you must adjust to managing your time differently, managing your social life, and studying for classes and exams. UW-Oshkosh is fortunate to have a wonderful resources on campus to assist students with improving academic skills.

The Center for Academic Resources can help you set up tutoring for any class you are struggling with. You can contact them at 424-2290 or stop by there office in Dempsey 317.

The Reading/Study Center is a resource where students can learn about and improve their academic skills.

The UWOshkosh Writing Lab is available to provide assistance with writing skills. The Writing Lab is located in Radford Hall lower level. Appointments are recommended. You can contact them at 424-1154 or by email wcenter@uwosh.edu.

Counselors at the Counseling Center can assist students who struggle with anxieties and attention difficulties which may impact their academics. For instance, students experiencing speech anxiety, symptoms of ADD/HD, or procrastination may find it helpful to work with a counselor.
