What’s New?

The “Wisconsin Idea”

The Office of Continuing Education and Extension is committed to the “Wisconsin Idea” —the extension of the University’s knowledge base and resources to citizens of all ages in our communities. We partner with schools, industry, and public and private organizations to provide access to a wide variety of learning opportunities such as

  • conferences, workshops and credit courses for educators and parents;
  • seminars for social workers, other social service providers and other professionals to meet credentialing needs;
  • organizational development series;
  • personal enrichment programs in health, recreation and movement, and visual and performing arts;
  • music, fire science and other camps for youth in the summer;
  • a Learning in Retirement organization for retired and semi-retired citizens.

Our programs are offered on and off campus, in Oshkosh and in nearby communities, and through distance education delivery such as the Internet and fiber optic networks.

Browse the programs we offer using the pull-down menu located in the upper right of this column. If there’s something you need to find quickly, try our search button. Please contact us if you have any questions, need help finding a specific program, or would like a description of our conferencing services. We hope you enjoy your visit and find our new site useful.
