Admission Requirements

Prior to entrance into the baccalaureate nursing program, students must have completed nursing prerequisites and general education requirements.

Applicants must have taken or will take a CNA course prior to beginning the associate degree portion of the program at NTC. 

 

Health Requirements

During the Orientation to Major course, the following is required:

  • A list of immunizations, including:
    • Documentation from a health care provider for two MMR's (measles, mumps and rubella) or titer showing immunity
    • Documentation of 3 Hep B immunizations and/or titer showing immunity
    • 2 Varicella immunizations or titer showing immunity
  • TB skin tests
    • Two steps needed or documentation of two annual tests
  • Xerox copy of both sides of your American Heart CPR for Healthcare Professionals card

Health information forms will be obtained during the Orientation to the Major course. Fees for immunizations, titers, TB test and CPR must be paid by the student.
