Admission Requirements

Students considered for admission to the Accelerated Online BSN option must have accomplished the following:

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or a clearly defined plan to complete a bachelor's degree before the curriculum start date
• 2.75 minimum GPA in College of Nursing academic prerequisites
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate  
• CNA course must have a clinical component
• Work experience as a CNA is strongly recommended

•  A score that meets or exceeds the national average on the Test of Academic Skills (TEAS) V

Upon Admission to the Accelerated Nursing option

Accepted students must complete an American Heart Association CPR course (Healthcare Provider) or a Red Cross CPR course (CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer) prior to the curriculum start date, attaining certification that will be current throughout the 12-months.
