"A safe place to learn"

WELCOME!
The College of Nursing is in the beginning phase of developing N/E 39B into a dedicated Simulation Lab. This lab will have 4 fully equipped hospital rooms and a observation room for the operation of the computer and camera equipment during simulation.

Simulators expose students to a variety of scenarios in a safe and controlled environment. Presently the CON owns a Laerdal SIMMAN. This model is computerized which talks, breathes and has various realistic heart, lung, abdominal sounds. Faculty can develop various scenarios with the use of SIMMAN software to simulate real life health problems which will help students prepare better for clinical.

The CON also has obtained Laerdal's SIMBABY and real life birthing model for its new lab to enhance learning related to obstetrics and newborn care.
