Undergraduate Traditional Nursing Program

Computer/Study Lab

The College of Nursing has a dedicated computer/study lab consisting of eight computer station and one dedicated IV simulator computer. Students learn nursing skills in a non-threatening environment at their own pace. The computer assisted programs simulate real life clinical situations, provide immediate feedback, and allow the student to make critical nursing decisions and problem solve. The various software programs are integrated into the curriculum and specific assignments are made by the faculty. The lab also has VHS and DVD components with wireless headsets to keep noise to a minimum. The lab is open on a walk in basis Monday thru Friday 8-4:30PM or later hours with work study supervision.

The Nursing Learning Lab received a CathSim Intravenous Training System as result of lab modernization funds. This simulator is a computer-based system for intravenous therapy simulation.
