State Board of Nursing Approvals for Out-of-State Residents
State Board of Nursing Approval Status in the United States
State Board of Nursing approval is necessary for each state in which students complete clinical rotations. The list below represents the current approval/non-approval status.
Students residing in states in which board approval has been denied, or not yet granted, have the option of completing the precepted clinical rotations in another state in which approval has been granted, assuming they plan to seek employment in that state upon graduation. That is, the program is intended to provide clinical rotations in the student’s “home community,” defined as the community in which the student intends to seek employment as a nurse upon graduation from the program.
