Accelerated Online Bachelor's to BSN Program
Academic Prerequisites
A minimum grade of C is required in all of the prerequisite courses.
Applicants must complete the equivalent of all the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh courses listed below. Course descriptions for UW Oshkosh courses can be found in the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh online catalog. Matching course descriptions, however, does not ensure course equivalency. Upon admission to the University, a “transfer credit evaluation” is sent to the applicant showing course equivalencies. Applicants with questions regarding prerequisite coursework are advised to contact the Advisor for the Accelerated Online BSN Program at 920-424-7215 or ona@uwosh.edu
All six science prerequisites including: general biology, human anatomy, human physiology, general chemistry I, biochemistry (or General Chemistry II ), and microbial survey must have a lab component. Labs cannot be completed in an online (virtual) or home-based format.
Applicants cannot be offered admission before successful completion of at least 4 of the 6 required sciences and the Human Growth and Development course. In addition, a clearly defined plan for completion of all prerequisite coursework prior to the program start date is required before admission can be offered. Applicants are strongly advised to complete all coursework no later than the end of the semester in which the application is due.
Nursing 200: “Human Growth, Development and Health Across the Lifespan” is offered online through the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Nursing.
