Application Review Process

First Round Criteria

  • Completeness and timeliness of the submitted application

  • TEAS V Score (applications are not reviewed until the TEAS is completed)

  • Evaluation of UW Oshkosh transcript, including credit evaluation of all course work completed prior to application

  • Number of prerequisite courses completed at the time of application

  • GPA calculated using prerequisite courses

  • CNA status (CNA experience is preferred)

 

Second Round Criteria for Selected Applicants

  • Telephone interview 

  • Online interview conducted via e-mail

  • Review of resume and letters of recommendation

 

Admission Decisions

  • The admissions committee evaluates applicants’ profiles per above criteria

  • A maximum of 30 qualified applicants are offered admission to each cohort of the Accelerated Option

  • Wait listed applicants are offered admission if one or more of the first 30 decline the offer of admission.  The wait list remains in effect only until the cohort start date, after which applicants on the wait list are welcome to re-apply for the next cohort

  • All applicants are notified of admission decisions via email on the same day.  May applicants are notified by the end of December; October applicants are notified by the end of May
