Academic Computing Services
Academic Computing Services is responsible for the computing resources that support the academic mission of the University.
Computer science students use the computing systems managed by Academic Computing Services.

Apple Macintosh microcomputers
Academic Computing employs a large number of students as Computer Lab Consultants, a small number of students who provide microcomputer hardware/software support and several interns who work in a variety of Information Technology positions.
Center for Community Partnerships
The Center for Community Partnerships is the information technology outreach unit of UW Oshkosh. It provides education, consultation and custom application development for corporations, businesses, governmental units, educational institutions and non-profit organizations in Northeastern Wisconsin.
The center's staff includes dozens of students from a variety of majors. These students gain valuable résumé-building and skill-enhancing experiences while performing technology-related assignments as center interns.
Management Information Office ( MIO )
The Department of Residence Life is responsible for the operation of the Residence Halls at UW Oshkosh. One of the services it provides is access to computing resources in the Residence Halls.
MIO is the unit of Residence Life which is responsible for the management of the Residence Life computer labs. MIO also manages ResNet, the Residence Hall student's network.
MIO is an entirely student-staffed office. As such, it provides excellent opportunities for students to gain valuable hands on experience in computing technology and programming. Information about staff positions can be found at the staff page.
Part-time job opportunities off-campus
The bulletin board near the entrance to the computer science department office contains information about part-time jobs with businesses in the local area. Students interested in work experience should consult the job board frequently for the most recent postings.
