Wait lists for courses that are full
Departmental policy for wait-listed courses
Once a course reaches its enrollment capacity, TitanWeb will inform you that you need departmental permission to enroll in the course. This allows our departmental associate, Peggy Adamski, to maintain a wait list for the course and, when openings arise, enroll students into the course in the order they appear on the wait list. If you want to added to the wait list for a course, you must contact Peggy via email (adamski@uwosh.edu) or phone (424-2068) and request that she add you to the list. When you do this, provide her with your name, the course and section you are interested in, your UWO ID number, your email address, and a contact phone number.
If and when an opening arises in the course and you are currently first on the waiting list, Peggy will contact you at the email address you have provided to ask if you still want to be added to the course. It is important that you reply to such an email from Peggy within 24 hours. If you don't, she will assume that you are no longer interested in the course, remove you from the wait list, and move on to the next student on the list. Consequently it is very important that you check email frequently when you are expecting that an opening may soon develop in the course.
If you are still on the wait list at the time of the first class meeting, you are encouraged to attend the first class session. Because we adhere to a mandatory attendance policy in the first scheduled meeting of a class, those students who are enrolled in the course but do not attend are administratively dropped from the course, potentially opening some spots for students who are on the wait list.
To assist you in planning your schedule, should you want to know your current position on the wait list, feel free to contact Peggy.
