Over the break I finished my individual project. For my individual project I added a new feature to Block Code that would allow the user to change the color of the line they drew. I also finished the Spring introduction lab and discussion on MVC frameworks

At first I thought this feature would be simple to create, but the proposal I gave made it harder than it needed to be. I chose to create the block with a drop down element instead of an input. I didn't realize this small difference would make the project so much harder, but it did because the way the program was designed it only took into account that a block could have no input, or it could have an input that required a number. I eventually got the program to have the drop down element, but then there was a problem on page refresh where it would stop reading the script correctly. I eventually found a JSON string that was parsed on page refresh to recreate the script that was there previously. Once I found this I was able to fix the refresh bug.

For next week I plan on finishing up my write up for the personal project. I am about half way finished with it as of writing this blog. This weekend my group also plans on meeting up to work on and hopefully get majority of the way through our team project.

I expect to run into problems with getting plone setup on a new machine since none of us have created a plone site in a while.
