Blog Entry for the Week of April 28th

Group Project and OpenMRS REST

This past week the biggest accomplishment I made was finishing the OpenMRS project. We were tasked with using OpenMRS's REST API to query data we would need on patients to show if they have at risk stress levels. Since I have been tinkering around with Angular the past few months and have become quite familiar with it, I thought it would be the best way to tackle the problem. I created some services to format the data how I needed, as the REST API did not present itself in a very friendly way for my use case. After doing so, I was able to easily output the data and calculations onto an html page.

This past Saturday was spent going through Plone as a group to see if we could make any progress. Due to the lack of documentation, and my minimal understanding of Plone's framework, we struggled to make any head way. We asked the community but were unable to receive any responses until  after we were done working with it. The plan is to spend the following weekend working on it to see if we can make any progress.
