Blog Entry for the Week Ending February 17th

by Hilgendorf, Grady last modified Feb 17, 2017 04:40 PM
A re-cap of things that I did during this week, problems I have run into, and what I plan to accomplish before the next post. Week 1: February 13th - February 17th.

Good morning/afternoon/night,

This week we read and discussed Eric Raymond’s The Cathedral and the Bazaar and his 19 lessons that he learned through his experiences. I also learned the underlying workings of Plone and what it is made of. Along the same line of thought, I learned of what is new in the most recent update of Plone in plone5. Also, I learned about what you could possibly extend onto Plone to make it better in any sense.

Some Issues that I had this week are due to the fact that I was not able to attend the first IRC standup meeting with my group. I also missed the presentation by Kim on workflows that was during my time away from the group. Before the next meeting time, I need to talk to my group members to get any information that I missed and connect to the IRC group chat.

Before the next time, I post I want to have a few things done. The first thing that I need to do is read Git by Susan Potter by Monday and post my opinion on our discussion board. The Next thing is to meet up with my team and get connected to our group chat on IRC. The last thing is to continue on the Plone training.

That is all for this week and wish me luck on catching back up after missing a few days.
