Blog Entry for the Week Ending February 10

by Hilgendorf, Grady last modified Feb 10, 2017 07:58 PM
A re-cap of things that I did during this week, problems I have run into, and what I plan to accomplish before the next post. Week 2: February 6th - February 10th.

Good morning/afternoon/night,

The last time that I posted, There were a few things that I needed to get done before this entry into this Blog. The first thing on that list was reading and completing chapters 5 and 6 from the Mastering Plone Development. I am glad to say that this was a completed and everything was done on time and as accurately as I could describe.

The article Build Something was very interesting. It is about how the Humanitarian Free and Open Source Software project, otherwise know as HFOSS, is getting colleges students, minorities and women to work on helping people around the globe. Creating software and programs to help with aid in natural disasters.

The article by Richard Stallman goes in depth on what Open Source software is all about. He explains, in detail the difference between Free Software and Open Source.

within the next week, I am needed to find members of the class and form a group of 2 or 3 for a project. Also by Monday, I need to read Eric Raymond's The Cathedral and the Bazaar and post on our discussion board.

Until next week.
