More About Susan...
Susan is originally from Canada and, in 1989, came to Wisconsin, with her two young sons, to attend UW-Oshkosh. She credits her return to the campus to one of her Communication instructors who encouraged her to obtain her Masters and come teach in the department. That instructor continues to encourage and support Susan’s efforts in the field of Communication.
Prior to joining the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2004, Susan worked for over 15 years managing all facets of the HR function. This gives her a unique perspective on the value of effective communicators, which she applies in the Communication classes she teaches. In addition to teaching for the Department of Communication, she also teaches classes for the Center for New Learning. She considers herself to be a resourceful teacher who is passionate about the education and learning of traditional and non-traditional students. She, herself, is committed to being a lifelong learner.
