More About Dr. Heider...

Stemming from my background in rhetoric and my interest in social movements and activism, I have analyzed archival texts from woman suffrage movement and I have interviewed incarcerated women to learn more about their life experiences.

I also love to explore new places and hike - some of my favorite travel destinations are Grand Canyon National Park and Glacier National Park.  I enjoy rooting for the Nebraska Cornhuskers (volleyball and football) and the Packers, but I am most passionate about traveling, learning, and working for social justice.

"I really appreciated the student culture in the major. Everyone was very supportive of one another and willing to take the time to share experiences and ideas."
